Dates for your diary can be found by scrolling down the page as well as quick social headlines.

 24 August 2010.

I’m sure you are all looking forward to the QMC Novice Road Rally in October 2010.
Before you consider entering a road rally, it is important get a good basic knowledge of the types of navigation that can be found on an event like this.
The first starting point is what is known as a table top rally. This is an exercise where you can learn to plot various types of navigation whilst in the comfort of the QMC club room.
QMC will be running two Table Top Rallies to sharpen your navigational skills to prepare you for the QMC Novice Road Rally:

Next: “Blazing Saddles” Table Top Rally 24th August 2010 (Start at 8:30pm).

To simulate a real event you will be racing against the clock, so the competitor who completes the route instructions in the fastest time is the winner.
However, mistakes (or fails) in recording the correct route on the map will receive a time penalty. 5 minutes/fail.
You must attempt all sections of the route to be classified as a finisher.
QMC will provide all route instructions, maps and romers. All you need to bring with you to compete is:

1. Pencils – it is better to use a soft pencil, such as 2B or 3B, as these are easier to rub off the map should you make a mistake.
2. Rubber – for deleting those mistakes.
3. Pencil Sharpener – it is surprising how your pencil will wear down during an event.
4. Sense of humour and a ‘have a go attitude!’

Come and have a go it a lot more fun than you think!!
There's a bottle of something fizzy for the winners too!!
Any query? Call Ian Howard (07773 956156).

Results as follows for First Table Top (Mad Hatter) Rally -  (Times including penalties).

1. James Bowles 00:53.30
2. Martin White 01:18.20
3. Mick Hawthorn 01:18.40
4. Alex Eacock 01:19.00 (Spirit of the rally award).

It’s Wales Rally GB again

Day 1 – Thursday November 11th / Friday November 12th
The WRGB starts on Thursday evening with a run through the new Cardiff Bay superspecial, before the cars head into parc ferme overnight.
Friday’s run of six stages is identical to last year, with two runs through Hafren, Sweet Lamb and Myherin separated by a remote service in Builth Wells

Day 2 – Saturday November 13th
It is Saturday where most of the changes can be found. The Revived Radnor and new Monument Hill stages will be run first with the mixed-surface test of Four Ways. Crychan then following, before a run through the forest of Halfway. The field will then return to Builth Wells for a second remote service before running the same four stages again.
After exiting Halfway for the second time, crews will then head back to Cardiff Bay for another night-time run through the superspecial.

Day 3 – Sunday November 14th
The Port Talbot and Rheola stages run last year have been abandoned in favour of moving Resolfen from Saturday to Sunday and a revamped Margam Park run twice each.
The Margam finale has been shortened to eight kilometres (five miles), cutting out some of the forest section but leaving the iconic finish in the park itself.
